Habitot Habits

Fun times at Habitot! Me and my gal friend loaded up the kids and headed to this great play and explore place just for kids (ages 0 thru 7) during the 2 week school break. The kids had a blast and we also got to have some really intense conversation - I was so blessed by this opportunity!

Aurelia getting made up.
Oli working the "farm"
the kids loved the water area (oli's eyes are so black because of the anti-red thing I used and it made him look crazy! owell)
Ezra really IS crazy!
Two brushes for two hands. It makes sense.
Who needs brushes anyways??
It was so sweet to find Ezra in the quiet room reading.
Oli checking out the carrots.
Ezra needs to apply more paint.
Ezra and his little gal pal posing as ducks just before it's time to go.

Garage Sale Day

We had a garage sale. Here are some photos that Ezra, Aurelia and I took over the course of the morning.

My little faerie - she bought these wings from our neighbor who was also having a sale. 10 cents!
Ezra wearing some wake boarding boots. Probably playing with a pincher bug.
Upset about something - I don't remember what . . .
Ezra took this picture of Aurelia making plant soup.
Aurelia took this photo, I think.

Going Berzerkely

We just had to pull Aurelia out of school Friday to drive up and up into the hills of Berkeley so we could see the Animal Grossology exhibit at the Lawrence Hall of Science before it closed (on Sunday). What a perfect day to go. The sun was shining, the roads were clear, and the Hall was pretty empty. We certainly got to explore to our hearts' contents. While there we got to:

1. Ride on a whale's back.

2. Crawl through some DNA.

3. Throw balls.

4. Look in a giant "spoon."

5. See ourselves a thousand times over.

6. Play in the mud.

7. Create a flood.

8. Overlook the bay.

9. Sleep around.

10. Rest on a fault.

11. Say "I love you."

12. Be frozen in time. (Sarah)

(Jason)

(Aurelia)

(Ezra)

(all five of us)

We also got to walk like geckos, beat an air drum, watch the earth change, slide down an eel's body and be pooped out, "watch" food travel through a cow (and hear him fart), help a cat vomit a hairball, eat lunch, play with puzzles, puppets and game shows. There was so much to do. I can't wait to go back and do it all again!

Snapshots

Well -I haven't been very faithful to post here lately. I've been managing life, and, of course, Facebook keeps me very busy - so I'm going to post some photos highlighting the last couple of months between my last post and this.

1. Aurelia started Kindergarten. Here she is, ready to go!

2. We visited Nana in the hospital. She had a knee replaced.

3. We visited with Aunt Marie at Granna's house.

4. We helped wash Casey the dog.

5. Aunt Mary had a birthday party. She turned 60! and we got to visit with all the cousins.

6. Becky and her brood came out for a visit and lunch. Aurelia missed the playdate.

7. We went to Pixieland with daddy. Oli expects the goose to get her own food.

Aurelia is captain of the skies.
Ezra is the master horse-rider. Hello!

8. Mom and I went to see one of my all-time favorite musicians (he STILL had it going on) Chuck Mangione. We stayed for the second set at Yoshi's just to be able to get this photo.

9. Mima started her weekly visits again and we spent some time visiting over paints.

Even Oliver got in on the action.

Ezra is prolific. He made 9 paintings in the time it took Aurelia to make 3 . . .

10. We went on a very short boat and tube ride with our friends Josh and Lindsey Storrer. Here are the girls telling us to "go faster!"

Jason and Oliver watching.
So that's about it. We were busy, happy and moving along. Thanks for visiting.
