For Adrienne

These photos are for you, Adrienne. Aurelia got the photo of you from Nana where you are pretending to pour the tea and she just cried and cried and cried because she misses you so much. She begged me to get on a place with her and fly to you. But, since we couldn't, she decided that she wanted to make a photo just like yours to send to you so show you that you ahve so much in common and that she loves and misses you so much. Jason told me to find some cheap airfare so we can come visit. Maybe this summer? Love you! So anywho - here are her attempts to recreate your photo with what we had around the house.

Oli's Fork

Here's a fun meal Oliver had with a fork. Spaghetti - well, pasta - anywho. He tried to stab the suckers, but they just kept eluding him. Sometimes I would help stab and he coud manage it into his mouth, but finally, he just gave up and used his hands. Here he is trying to put the food on the fork. . . Maybe the other end??I love these memories.

The Disneyland Three!

Ezra, Aurelia and Oliver celebrated their birthdays (turning three, five and one, respectively) last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - what better way to celebrate than to go to Disneyland?!!?? We had a great time, Mima, Aunty Becky and I with these three crazy kids. We made great time driving fdown on Monday and staying at the ever-hospitable Nelson Hotel (A.B's parent's house, Mimi and Popi).

The first thing we did was celebrate Ezra's birthday having breakfast with Goofy at the Disneyland Hotel. Alice was SO cute! Goofy kept blowing out Ezra's candles and five characters came to our table to say hi! Good food too! Definitely worth the money!

First we waited in line to see Tinkerbell. She was adorable and played with Aurelia and really made Aurelia's day!

Then we started in the rides. We went on Snow White and Pinocchio (which can be dark and scary) and Casey Jr.

Ezra wasn't too excited about riding the Storybook Land Canal boats because he thought it was going to be scary too, but he warmed up to the ride when we realized it wouldn't be.

After Fantasy Land we made our way into Toontown. We had made the plan to not stand in any long lines (30 or more would just be to much) and this was a good plan because it made it a lot more fun for the kids. Here are the kids with Mima on Donal's boat. Cute to look at but not very interactive.

We went into Mickey's movie barn and got to meet him at the end. Lots of fun soft things in his barn. AFter Toontown we went on the new Small World Ride (WOW! Very nice!) and then we rode the train out of Disneyland.

The next day was Oli's birthday. We went to Disneyland again and went through Frontier land, New Orlean's, Critter Country and Adventure land. Aurelia really liked the Pirate's ride and Ezra was SO excited to meet Winnie the Pooh. Oli got to ride in a honey pot and thought he was the cat's meow. On the Jungle Cruise Aurelia jumped so high when we saw the Pirahnas.
It was still early so we went into California Adventures.

We went straight to Bug's Life and got soaking wet! What a blast! then we stirpped down, budled up and went "home."

After some good naps (and leaving Oli at home still sound asleep) Aunty Becky and I returned to Disneyland with the kids to watch the fireworks. They were amazing! but too loud for Ezra.

Hooray! The line for Dumbo wasn't long so Ezra got to ride (with me!!) we went straight up and stayed there till the ride was over. We got to ride the Carosel too and make wishes at Snow White's well. Then we went home to rest up for one more big day!

First thing we did on Aurelia's birthday was head into California Adventures to eat some fresh tortillas and sour dough bread at the factories. Then we were off to a Princess lunch at Ariel's Grotto! We got to meet five princesses in all and eat some really good food! It felt a little hectic, but it was worth it to see Aurelia with all the princesses -- and Ezra was the little flirt too!

Here's Snow White.

Mima fell in love with the desset platter - a white chocolate sea shell was claimed right away. I had a molten lava chocolate cake.

Then the kids play in the SS something for while. Climbing and surfing and pretending.

This is a photo from the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail where we got to climb and hike and slide and play. Good stuff. We also took photos with Mater and "Lightmin' Na-Queen" Ezra was in car heaven!
Then since it was day three with three little tired people we headed back into a Bug's Land to ride some more rides, eat some churros and see the 4-D show (which scared Aurelia when the black widows came down from the ceiling. Then we went "home" and slept and made good time back to the Bay Area. I didn't take photos of everything and I certainly didn't POST photos of everything. Aunty Becky took a lot of photos for me and when I get a copy of them I'll try to post some more. Anywho. We had a GREAT time!
