Emergency Gluing

Poor Ezra. His face finally caught up with his feet. He was running around on the trampoline when he fell and hit the "springelers" (the springs) and got a nice cut on his forehead above his left eye. Praise God for His mercy, the cut didn't bleed long, but it was pretty deep so after staunching the flow and putting on a Cars (brand) bandaid I grab lots of books and snacks and drinks so we can spend some time waiting in the Emergency Room.

After two hours it's now 7:30 PM we go in and get checked by a nurse and Ezra's bandaid is replaced. I call my mom to see if she can come get the kids. I get her voicemail.

Then an hour later we are seen by the Doctor. He tells us he will glue it after it is irrigated. It is by this time 8:30 (past bedtime) and Oliver is starting to fall apart. I call my mom again. Twice. No dice. Jason's still driving home from work.
We've turned on So You Think You Can Dance. The kids aren't impressed. I try to entertain them by taking photos. I'm not having much luck. I try my mom again. I call my Aunt Sandi. She says she and Aunt Tanya are on the way. Jason calls. He's 10 minutes away. I call Aunt Sandra back and tell her not to come because Jason will be here soon. She says Aunt Tanya's on her way to my mom's house.

See how wiped out he's looking? It's 9:00 PM. He did NOT like being irrigated. The water was cold.
The Dr. comes back in. Jason arrives. Sandra and Tanya arrive. My mom (who's been at bible study) arrives in a panic. The message she got from Uncle Frank was that I'd "been trying to get a hold of her ALL DAY. Ezra has a head injury and is in the hospital." Pastor Dave arrives. The room is a little crowded.

Ezra gets glued together. He doesn't have a concussion. He gets to ride home in daddy's big truck. The night is finally over. Let's not do THAT again.

Tramp-o-daddy

Granna and Poppa and my daddyrabbit took me out to eat for my birthday. Yes - I turned 30! on the 30th (of May)! Afterwards they came back to the house and boy did my kids wear their grand-daddy rabbit out on the trampoline. Here they are tackling him.
Here they are getting some serious air.

Discovering Rides!

We went ahead and bought season passes to Discovery Kingdom and here are the photos of our first trip there. I'll try not to bore you throughout the summer with endless photos of our trips, but here are some cute ones :)
Jason and Oli waiting in line to ride Thomas the Tank Engine.
Oli enjoying his Zebra ride.
Me and the two eldest riding the Carosel.
Say Hi! We're on Harold the Helicopter!
Aurelia with Sir Topham Hatt.

We discovered that there are LOTS of fun rides for the kids, but we didn't take too many photos this day. It was cold and windy and we were not prepared (clothing-wise) but we made the best of the day and kids had a GREAT time!
